Stand with those striking in Montreal and Chicago! Fight with those in Mexico, Chile, and all around the world! Join Education Bloc in NYC on S17!

CALL TO ACTION
===========

Brooklyn College Student Union, All in the Red, and others will be hosting an education bloc on September 17th in solidarity with the 1-year anniversary of Occupy Wall St and the struggle against systemic inequality generated by the subordination of the public welfare to the profit demands of financiers. As people focused on the intersections between neoliberal capitalism and the US education crisis, we denounce the commodification of knowledge and resist the corporate ownership of our education system. We demand an end to the skyrocketing tuition hikes that have resulted in a crippling student loan debt burden of over $1 trillion. We will come together to reassert our collective right to the commons and to proclaim the need for free public education. We invite all students, educators, and like-minded people to join us in the Financial District in NYC at 7am on September 17th.
